Return

Hello, A Restart

I am returning to blogging. I have stopped for quite some time. A pretty long time, and I am not going to try to recall the years. My children were young and now they are all adults! Time flies, flew!

Any hoo, I am here, wanting to share and leave my little legacy in this big internet world from my little internet world.

Welcome!

So this will be mostly about what it has been about... Cooking, eating, family and making.

I wanted to share and leave something to connect with during this especially challenging and troublesome time. To help with staying steady in addition to prayer and devotion, I like to craft and make with my hands. It's constantly my bright place, cheery to brighten up everything!

I have recently become very infatuated and engrossed in YouTube podcasts. I have a few favorites that are either gardening, knitting, craft, home and lifestyle related. I think it is so wonderful and so many people are so really neat to share what they love. It is super fabulous!

There are two young men that I have recently began watching, Arne and Carlos, very famous knitwear designers, and I have begun to participate in their knit-a-long called Quarantine Knitting.

I also follow on their blog where they have free patterns for their Mystery Knit a-long with Quarantine Knitting.

Here is my knitting.

I am a new knitter. This is the perfect knitting activity. I have wanted to learn color work and these patches are the perfect learning method. They are small to provide perfect learning satisfaction without being overwhelming.
And a big plus, is that Arne and Carlos are making them with plenty of tutorials! They are very good teachers!

Do you read Sweet Paul magazine? It's a great periodical. It is beautifully published and just a wonderful way to sit down with some lovely tea or hot and creamy coffee, and enjoy the great photography and get so much delicious inspiration!

yummy wings recipes! I love wings!

It's a really good time to bake cakes..so pretty!

Great reading from the library and my own purchases and gifts.
I took some knitting, sewing  and cooking books out of the library, (pre-COVID 19) and the libraries are now closed so I get to hold the beloved books a bit longer.

I am also working on knitting my first pair of socks!

This class is absolutely great and I think it's wonderful that she offers the class for free on YouTube. It is tremendously invaluable! Denise is a very good teacher. I f you want to learn how to knit your first pair of socks , I highly recommend this class.

I am work on the heel and have easily completed the heel flap.

I am completely distracted now with Arne & Carlos, buying patterns and dream crocheting the Primrose flower blanket and dreaming of creating my dollhouse! I can't wait! I have been thinking of dolls and crocheted and knitted things to put in my dollhouse. Exciting!

I have some thing to put in my dollhouse already!

Please forgive my poor picture. The shadow is my sewing machine. The cute furniture is from eBay.

I hope you enjoy your day!
Blessings!
